ISLANDERS will be asked to fold and fill for an initiative aimed at raising more than £1m. for the Les Bourgs Hospice rebuild.

A flat-packed milk carton, labelled Connie the Cash Cow, will be delivered to 25,500 households next week.

The hospice, which still has money left to raise to pay for its rebuild while funding its £2,000 a day running costs, is asking islanders to fill the cartons with loose change.

After they have been, the cartons, which have been donated by Guernsey Dairy and are recyclable, can be returned to local NatWest branches or post offices.

I think Connie should stand for a place in the States, she`d only have to go to one or two meetings and she`d be guaranteed at least £130,000 for four years of doing nothing.
It would save her having to do public appearances and begging for cash.

    Harvey,
You are a very sad person.
