THE Rebuilding Les Bourgs Appeal has received its largest ever donation – from a local couple who have asked to remain anonymous.

The donation has been kept under wraps until now.

There is still just over £1m. to raise for the appeal.

Appeal chairwoman Advocate Alison Ozanne said the committee was overwhelmed by the amazing gesture.

‘Although the benefactors wish to remain completely anonymous, we have decided to dedicate a room at the hospice with their choice of name in recognition of their generosity and to say a special thank you.

‘The patients’ sitting room will now be known as The Amy J Room.’
