SMURFS, prisoners and bananas took to the fields of Guernsey for this year’s Mud’n’Fun Run.

The fund-raiser organised by the Guernsey Hash House Harriers attracted nearly 500 runners on Saturday, despite the miserable weather.

Organising committee member Mark Vidamour was pleased with the turnout.

‘We had about 330 people signed up last night and then we have had a lot coming down on the day,’ he said.

He said the wet weather had made the route challenging. He thanked event sponsor Saffery Champness for their support.
