BABIES who go into the neonatal unit will now benefit from equipment bought by the Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation.

An open day was held yesterday at the unit, in the Princess Elizabeth Hospital’s Frossard Ward.

Charity founder Jo Priaulx said they also wanted a chance to thank everyone who had donated to the cause.

‘We have on show the equipment that has been bought since the charity started,’ she said.

Items which have been purchased include a babypac transport ventilator, overhead phototherapy lights, which helps with jaundice, a transport bag and trolley so if a baby needs to be taken to England, a doctor or nurse can easily access any medical equipment.

Parent information books have also been bought for Frossard Ward, as well as a camera, printer, Christening box, twin Kanmeds babywamers with heater mattress and single Kanmeds.
