LES Beaucamps School opened its doors to the public for the first time on Saturday, much to the delight of many islanders.
Hundreds of people turned out to take a look around the new building, which students moved into in September.
Many visitors were impressed by the design of the four-floor building and surprised by the layout.
Nicola Roussel, 36, visited the school with her 11-year-old daughter, Emily.
She had attended the former Les Beaucamps as a teenager.
‘It’s absolutely amazing – it’s much more modern than the old one,’ she said.

Any chance we could have a photo gallery? Not everybody is able to go and visit this building that we’ve all paid for…

Apparently Education thought about a photo gallery but they just haven’t got the staff to do it

Granted, it is a long way off, but when the school opens it will be back in the spotlight, so, why not ask the students themselves to present a photo gallery?

I thought it was already open for business .. especially since the old building has been demolished

Students shouldn’t present the photo gallery because they have much more important things to be getting on with. I wouldn’t squander my time producing a mere photo gallery when I could be learning- something that would of be of greater avail to me.
