HOLLY from the garden of Guernsey Cheshire Home will be used to create 100 Christmas wreaths to raise money towards the charity’s running costs.

Cuttings from the holly bush will be used during special public workshops at the home, which provides care and support for adults with severe disabilities.

Islanders are invited to join staff and residents to handcraft the holly wreaths tomorrow and on Thursday.

Activities manager Pam Davey said: ‘Come and get in the Christmas spirit and join us at the home. It is a fun social activity, you can meet some of the residents and help to raise money for the home at the same time.’
