THE rider of a quad bike which was involved in a fatal accident in Summerfield Road on Thursday evening remains too poorly to speak to police.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the incident in which Mai-Lea Falla, 7, a pupil at the Vale Junior School, was killed.

Over the weekend, flowers and cards continued to be left on a wall near the scene of the crash, which happened at about 6pm.

Special prayers for Mai-Lea and her family were said at the Vale Church yesterday and people were also given the chance to light candles.

The rector, the Rev. Kevin Northover said he had visited the Vale Junior and Infants Schools on Friday where staff and fellow pupils had been very upset with the death of a girl who they all knew so well.
