OUR main focus of the day is the Health and Social Services board’s crisis talks over calls for its resignation.

The department is meeting today after its predicted £2.5m. overspend sparked former board member Deputy Mike Hadley and seven other deputies to request resignations.

If they refuse, it will be for the Policy Council to decide when the vote is held – the ministers of which have refused to give public backing to the under-fire department.

We’ll be keeping you abreast of developments and getting reaction to the outcome of that meeting.

Also today, we’ll be in Town at lunchtime to see the island’s best chefs go head to head in the Big Soup Kitchen Challenge.
