RELATIVES and friends of seven-year-old Mai-Lea Falla gathered to release balloons in her memory on Saturday.

Around 50 people turned out to pay tribute to the Vale Junior School pupil, who was killed in a road accident two weeks ago.

As the balloons were released in a field behind Sous Les Hougues Estate, the adults and children stood quietly to watch a sea of pink, lilac and white disappear into the sky.

Rhianna’s single, Diamonds, played in the background.

Police are treating Mai-Lea’s death as a tragic accident.
