A FURNISHED two-bedroom flat is the top prize in Guernsey’s first ‘property lottery’.

Sarnia Estate Agents is behind the idea, which is expected to raise around £135,000 to £140,000 for the Guernsey Cheshire Home.

The top prize is in a brand new development, Herald Court, in Victoria Road, St Peter Port, and will include all legal fees.

‘We wanted to come up with a ground-breaking first for the Guernsey property market, while still raising a lot of money for an important charity,’ Sarnia Estate Agents managing director Alex Ford said.

There are only 3,000 tickets available, priced at £150 each, and Mr Ford said he expected them to sell fast.

The winning ticket will be picked on 13 April.

    Great idea,
But would hope the prize goes to a worthwhile individual/family.
Would be a shame if it went to an investment ‘sindicate’ and added to their brimming property portfolio..
Still; if it makes money for charity then that counts as a win in my book!

I hope to win it, rent it out for a year and a day for a huge rental amount, and then sell it for a massive profit, buy a new property in Florida and hurray, life is good.

You pays your money, you takes your choice. Its the luck of the draw.
      and all other cliches.
