A tank used to store water at Barker's Quarry is due to be replaced with a larger one as part of a project to improve water collection on the east coast.
With work due to begin next week on improving water collection on the east coast, tonight we’ll be going to the Island Bowl to find out more about the plans.
A drop-in session is being held to inform residents and interested parties about what’s being proposed. The meeting starts at 8pm and we’ll have a report in tomorrow’s paper.
There’s a people’s meeting in Alderney tonight, discussing items which will be laid before the States this month. Among the subjects likely to be raised are proposals for the island’s commercial quay.
Also today we’re going to be catching up on how recycling has gone over the Christmas period, and looking at how work is progressing on the island’s new skatepark.
And we’ll have a story in tomorrow with the Culture and Leisure minister bringing us up to date on how efforts are going to contract out the management of Beau Sejour and Footes Lane.
The nominations for this year’s Channel Islands’ Sports Personality of the Year will be published in tomorrow’s sports section.
And there’s a look ahead to Guernsey FC’s first match of 2013, away against Molesey on Saturday, and a preview of the Guernsey FA cup quarter final games taking place at the weekend.
