Fire response vehicle out of action after being damaged in collision

A crew from the nearby fire station was called to clean up after the collision in which both vehicles were damaged.
A FIRE & Rescue Service response vehicle was put out of action after being involved in a crash just yards from its headquarters yesterday afternoon.
The duty officer response car was involved in the collision with a UK-registered Ford Focus at the junction of Doyle Road and Brock Road in St Peter Port at around 12.40pm.
Police are investigating the incident, in which both vehicles sustained substantial damaged.
Both drivers escaped without injury.
Fire and Rescue Service control manager Claire McKenzie said the damaged vehicle had been replaced, so the incident would not impact on any emergency responses.

Glad you reminded me Matthew to share my disgust in these bloony foreigners coming over here chasing around and smashing up our emergency vehicles, put em on the first boat back to where they came from i say.

We don’t have yellow lines over here. Maybe he turned his sirens off to early cause fort George complain it affects thier hearing aids.

They must have their hearing aids turned up pretty loud at Fort George to hear a siren in Brock Road!

I didn’t realise that xenophobia was still prevalent. Your are patriotic to the point of fascist and I’ll wager that you, bcb, if asked to explain the reasoning behind your bigotry, will lack a substantial justification, but will merely claim that deporting and repatriating foreigners is your favoured solution because it creates a sense of order and stability. When I tried to be humorous by claiming that sites such as the ‘fayre’ at Oatlands invited riffraff to the area I was accused as an uppity bigot, yet when you make remarks that verge on jingoism you expect that it be treated as a light-hearted exchange of wit- laugable.
