Deputy says HSSD took its eye off the PEH ball
Monday 7th January 2013, 8:30AM GMT.
HEALTH and Social Services has been criticised for concentrating too much on its future vision rather than the day-to-day running of the hospital.
Deputy Mary Lowe, pictured, said she was shocked that the department had announced the De Saumarez surgical ward and Divette ward would remain closed because there were not enough people to staff them.
‘They gave assurances that they would reopen them,’ she said.
‘They are letting down sick people. It seems to be that they have spent so much time on the vision rather than the day-to-day running – effectively they took their eye off the ball.
‘Stop focusing on all these 2020 Vision presentations and get on with the running this hospital properly.’

Yay! The first bandwagon of 2013 to jump on has come along, and who’s the first to board, now the way’s been safely paved by others and we all agree?
Well of course, who else…?
How much are this lot being payed again? What’s that about their pension arrangements?
…oh, that’s ok, no probs, as long as they’re saying what we want to hear, it’s all fine by me! :)
