The proposed pirate ship play area.
A PIRATE ship-inspired playground could be built at Saumarez Park this year, organisers of the fundraising appeal have confirmed.
Friends of Saumarez Park Playground director Sarah Winsall said another £20,000 was needed to begin work on the pirate ship – phase one of the redevelopment.
The appeal has raised £100,000 so far.
‘We are getting a lot of help and support, not just in monetary terms but trade and services as well,’ said Mrs Winsall.
The redevelopment – which will include up to six phases – requires around £500,000 and fundraisers are hopeful that as people see work progressing, more will donate.

Great, what an improvement. Who are the playground providers?

I trust someone like CCTVWatch is going to be involved from the start. At least then, when the vandals arrive they can smile with confidence knowing a good picture will be available for police files. PS: used these guy’s before and they are the bees-knees.
If they read this may be they could give Sarah Winsall a call to offer thier services.
