The States have agreed to investigate the commercialisation of Guernsey Airport.
We have reporters at Guernsey Airport this morning following the security alert which closed it down earlier today.
As of 9.10am there were still delays and some flights had been cancelled as a result of the closure. We’ll have more information about what caused the situation and its impact on today’s travel in tomorrow’s Press.
There’ll also be another story in the run-up to the States debating the Financial Transformation Programme this week.
Deputy Lester Queripel has submitted several written questions to Treasury on the subject, and we’ll also be talking to Scrutiny Committee chairman Paul Arditti.
The final stages of work on Les Beaucamps High School’s new sports hall are under way and we’re sending a reporter to the school to take a look.
And we’ll be finding out more about the problems being experienced by a resident who lives close to the Lagan compound at Guernsey Airport.
A trophy donated to the Guernsey Race Club by Queen Victoria is due to be auctioned by Bonhams tomorrow, and we’ll be finding out today how much interest there has been in the sale.
Tomorrow’s sports pages will be looking back at the weekend’s close victory for Guernsey FC in their FA Vase campaign, and ahead to the team’s next match tomorrow night, defending their Combined Counties Premier Cup tittle in an away game with Epsom and Ewell.
