I am told Dave knew what was coming and has, as previously said in this column' sought to relieve Peter Ferbrache of Crabby Jacks which has been declined. It's just business and sentiment is not in the equation. Yes I'm sure Dave does turn a healthy profit from the Rockmount, and at the end of the day like everything it is a business. Randalls will install a manager and the place will not have the same character, it'll become just another soulless pub like the vast majority are on this island. Whoever they put in won't have the same love and affection for the place as the man himself has said that it means everything to him. The Rockmount in my eyes will never be the same again after 31/12/2013.
