Johnny Depp dropped in to the Guernsey Press unannounced earlier today – or at least, that’s what it looked like.

Professional lookalike of the actor, Andy Depp, is in the island to attend tonight’s Saumarez Park playground fundraiser at the Duke of Richmond Hotel.

Pirates is the theme of the event, so Captain Jack Sparrow will be making an appearance.

Read our interview with Andy in tomorrow’s Guernsey Press.

It’s uncanny. It really is. apart from the face, he looks uncannily like someone who wears clothes that Johnny Depp might or might not wear.

    Shocked

I am shocked that the organisers who are trying to raise money for a great cause are wasting it by bringing in a non look-a-like JD!!!!!

Seriously how much has it cost to bring this guy over??? wait lets charge small children £8.00 a time to hang out with Captain Jack than at least 50p from each person who has attended can pay towards the playground hmmmm!! its gonna be a long time before this playground gets finished at this rate.

While he`s here someone should point him in the direction of Specsavers HQ because those glasses he`s wearing are obviously distorting his vision when he looks in the mirror.

Still, if he can make a living off of idiots who book him then, fair enough, good luck son.

Maybe if the glasses didn’t look like re-entry shields and were more the shape/style that JD wore with this particular outfit (check out internet pics to see what i mean), Andy may have been able to pull a remote resemblence off, unfortunately his eyes, nose and mouth are definately not akin to the great man himself and those glasses are Soooooo Harry Potter!

Funnily enough though, in the GP today, he actually did look quite a bit like the character Cap’n Sparrow, so I take back what I said earlier about him.

Perhaps though he should have given the GP a publicity shot to use rather than letting them use the one of him that showed him in rather a poor light.
