MISTAKES made by Environment while dealing with the Admiral Park development have given interested parties more time to talk, neighbouring landlords have said.

One of them said the department’s bungling had given them the chance to raise their concerns with both planners and developer Comprop.

The latest U-turn by Environment will see it ask the States to reinstate the outdated outline planning brief for the area – the source of its original mistake in the planning process.

This will cause a further delay but, according to the neighbouring landlord, the blunder will allow parties with an interest in the plans more time to voice concerns over issues such as lack of parking and access.

‘I think it has been positive,’ said the landlord, who did not want to be identified.
