Shell Beach in top 20 of Britain’s best
Thursday 21st February 2013, 4:00PM GMT.
HERM’S Shell Beach has been voted one of Britain’s best.
The award from TripAdvisor – the world’s largest travel website – was based on the quality and quantity of reviews and ratings for beaches on the website over a 12-month period. It is based entirely on feedback from posters on the site.
Shell Beach is one of only two Channel Islands beaches to make the list, coming 17th. Jersey’s St Brelade’s Bay came 10th.
TripAdvisor spokeswoman Emma Shaw said: ‘These awards recognise the best beaches in Britain and beyond, according to those who really matter – travellers that have visited these beaches and given them the highest levels of praise.
‘It is great to see Herm coming up trumps against some of Britain’s top beaches.’
