Constable is concerned over damage to Hauteville kerb

ENVIRONMENT has rejected urgent calls from constables and parishioners to remove scaffolding from outside a St Peter Port building.
The granite kerbs along Lower Hauteville have gradually been displaced and damaged as vehicles have mounted the pavement to avoid the scaffolding, which has been on site since around October last year.
Senior constable Dennis Le Moignan claimed that work on the building had not taken place in weeks.
However, property owner Kevin Cook said that, while it was unfortunate, he had difficulties securing a carpenter and that had delayed works, but confirmed everything was now back on track.
