A FAMILY, including three children, have been forced to move  out of their flat next to the former Hotel Le Carterets due to an infestation of rats.

The mother-of-three, who asked not to be named, was living in Carteret Mews, next to the former hotel which has been demolished to make way for housing.

‘We woke up yesterday morning and found holes along the wall,’ she said.

‘We couldn’t stay there and went to a friend’s last night. We have a hotel booked for tonight.’

Other Carteret Mews residents believe rats have got into the walls and roofs of the block of flats.
