Admiral Park planning delay concerns deputy
Wednesday 27th February 2013, 1:00PM GMT.
ENVIRONMENT has been criticised for the lengthy and ‘potentially costly’ delays it has caused ahead of a decision being made on the latest phase of the Admiral Park development.
St Peter Port North deputy Peter Sherbourne has warned of the ‘expense’ these kind of departmental mistakes could create for parties involved in the process.
At the States meeting, which starts today, Environment will seek to reinstate a 15-year-old planning brief for the area ahead of a decision finally being made on the major development, following a three-month planning saga.
But it remains unclear how much the fiasco has cost developer Comprop, Environment or any other parties, but the department has insisted no compensation claims have been lodged.
Comprop was unavailable to comment yesterday.

About time this was sorted the area is terrible . Use the land for what we need , houses or as it is called Admiral park and nice new green area for all to enjoy. this area once had a bowling green on perhaps a new one would be nice .
Also the area can give parking to residents of Grand Bouet as some of their garden back into this as well .
