Guernsey FC supporters remained in high spirits on Saturday despite the draw against Walsall Wood in the crucial quarter-final of the Carlsberg FA Vase.
And fans were confident that the Green Lions would have home advantage at the replay this coming Saturday and that the team could still make it to Wembley.
More than 70 supporters arrived back in Guernsey after the match on a chartered plane along with the GFC players.
Among them was avid Green Lions fan Deputy Mary Lowe, who said it had been a nerve-racking game.
‘There were a few near misses, but the team certainly did try hard and we are all very proud of them,’ she said.
