Forest and Le Rondin ‘won’t be merged’

EDUCATION has told worried parents that the Forest Primary and Le Rondin will not be merged, although one executive head teacher has been appointed for both schools.

It issued a statement yesterday, having met parents on Monday night after what some called a confrontational meeting.

Current Le Rondin head teacher Paula Sullivan will become head of both schools in a two-year appointment following the retirement of Forest head Gary Le Huray this summer.

Parents were told that the Forest Primary would be supported with additional staffing.

‘I can understand that parents may be anxious about these changes,’ said Mrs Sullivan, pictured. ‘They were very welcoming to me and I am really looking forward to working with them in continuing to move the school forward and strive for excellence.’
