Action stations as museums get final touches for opening

FINAL preparations are under way to get Castle Cornet and the Fort Grey Shipwreck Museum ready to open for the season on Friday.

Museums director Jason Monaghan said last week’s blizzard damage had been fixed and they were preparing for a busy summer.

New signs have gone up at Castle Cornet over the winter and the shop is being restocked.

At Fort Grey, the paintwork is being touched up and the grass cut.

Mr Monaghan, pictured, said he expected a slow start, but added that the sites would quickly grow busy because the opening coincided with the school Easter holidays.
