Liberation Group vows to keep the island’s restaurants and pubs the same after buyout

PUB-GOERS have been reassured that some of their favourite establishments will not change, despite being under new ownership.
The Liberation Group revealed yesterday that it had bought several pubs and restaurants after it struck a deal with Sealyham Investments Ltd/Lapwing Trading for an undisclosed sum.
It has now acquired the Ship & Crown, the Crow’s Nest Restaurant and the Auberge at Jerbourg, all of which are managed sites, plus two tenanted businesses – the Happy Landings and Captain’s Hotel.
Liberation Group CEO Mark Crowther said all managers and staff would be retained.
‘We wanted to acquire these sites because of their quality, they are all successful pubs in their own right and we have no plans to make any changes to the operations,’ he said.
