ALMOST five months after Sarah Groves was found dead on a houseboat in Kashmir, her father has told of how her family is struggling to cope with the tragedy.
‘[We’re doing] terrible, in all honesty,’ Vic Groves said yesterday during an in-depth interview at his St Peter Port home yesterday.
Sarah, 24, died after being stabbed multiple times. Dutchman Richard de Wit has pleaded not guilty to her murder.
‘Certainly Tom [Sarah’s older brother] and I have got a lot going on with the trial and the [newly-launched Sarah Groves Memorial] Fund, which means our concentration has been directed elsewhere so we are able to forget about it for a few hours,’ Mr Groves said.
‘But my wife, Kate, and son Ben [Sarah’s younger brother], who is not working at the moment and is focusing on music, have been badly affected – we always will be.’
