HSSD wants to put all its community services at King Edward VII

CENTRALISING community services at the King Edward VII site would benefit visitors and staff, health officials have said.
The project, put forward under the States Strategic Asset Management Plan, was one of those chosen for funding between 2014 and 2017 as part of the island’s capital prioritisation programme.
Health and Social Services director of corporate services Richard Evans said HSSD was more than just the hospital.
‘We have Swissville and Lukis House, which both provide services for children and young people. Both buildings are a nightmare to manage, expensive and difficult to maintain – it’s not ideal for these services to be provided from them.’
