A PRISON nurse gave a Les Nicolles inmate drugs in exchange for sexual favours, a disciplinary hearing was told yesterday.
Andrew Parkin, who denies are claims against him, allegedly took cocaine in front of and took part in a sexual act with the woman prisoner while she was serving time for a wounding offence.
A Nursing and Midwifery Council hearing was told that Mr Parkin was involved in a relationship with a substance misuse nurse at the jail at the time of the allegations.
‘Patient A was a serving prisoner in Guernsey and her evidence is to the effect that she met the registrant during her sentence when he became her mental health nurse,’ said Tom Cockroft, for the NMC.
‘Her evidence is that he gave her drugs, including diazepam, that she was not prescribed and that he took cocaine and liquid valium in her presence.’ She also alleged that the pair performed sex acts on each other, Mr Cockroft said.
