Bold new vision for Town and Bridge unveiled
Wednesday 2nd October 2013, 5:02PM BST.
A DRAMATIC new vision for St Peter Port, the Bridge and St Sampson’s Harbour was released today.
Some of the key features are extensive pedestrianised areas, underground car parking and an improved harbour passenger terminal.
It also suggests a bridge from Le Crocq to Northside which traffic could be diverted along, although the team behind the vision say this is not central to it because of the investment needed.
Chair of the group David Falla hoped the ideas would initiate action so that the key centres could be improved over the next 20 years.
The team behind the proposal include representatives from Town Centre Partnership, Chamber of Commerce, and the Vale, St Sampson’s and St Peter Port constables.
