Two-tier bus fares to be reviewed by Environment
Wednesday 2nd October 2013, 8:30AM BST.
ENVIRONMENT will review the controversial two-tier bus fares.
The decision to look again at charging visitors extra was announced yesterday after it released the new winter timetable.
The department confirmed it has not changed the fare structure at the moment, but it will review the matter ahead of the release of next year’s summer timetable.
Any decision, it said, would take into account the outcome of the debate on the proposed transport strategy, which Environment intends to take to the States sometime in the new year.
The new timetable will start on Monday. Environment said it addresses ‘the majority’ of issues raised during the consultation process.
