Shot buzzard released into the wild
Saturday 12th October 2013, 10:26AM BST.
A buzzard that was shot by an airgun is now back in the wild.
Jimmy, who was later discovered to be female, was found at Le Coudre, St Peter’s, last Saturday.
An X-ray confirmed an airgun pellet had gone through the right shoulder.
The bird spent some time at the shelter for rehabilitation.
GSPCA staff said if it had not been for the kind individuals who found Jimmy, the bird would have died.
They added that the buzzard was later released close to where it was found.
