Bus drivers could get profit share

CT Plus’s parent-company HCT Group is considering offering its bus drivers a share of profits under radical plans.
Due to be trialled in Jersey, the plans will see drivers receive a portion of the profit made in the region that drivers work.
Communications director for HCT-Group Frank Villeneuve-Smith said the idea was in its ‘very early stages’ but, if successful, it will be rolled out across the entire group – including Guernsey.
‘We are right at the beginning of this journey. HCT Group is a social enterprise and we have no shareholders to keep happy.
‘Staff are an extremely important stakeholder and this will be making a really explicit link between your [their] actions at work and the success of the organisation.’
