Blockbuster could enter adminstration

BLOCKBUSTER faces closure after the firm warned it could go into administration for the second time in 10 months.
The DVD and games rental chain first went into administration in January and was sold to current owners, Gordon Brothers Europe, in March.
Late yesterday afternoon it was announced the company was again facing closure. Local branch manager Richard Vahey said he learned of the move on Twitter, a similar way to the last time the firm went into administration.
‘We had a conference call with the district manager who said if a buyer is not found quickly, the store will close. All staff have been given their notice.’
The move means the three full-time and five part-time staff could be out of a job within weeks unless the chain can be rescued.
