Man charged over death of pensioner

A man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a pensioner was killed in a hit and run.
Mariuzu Jusza, 36, of Greenford Avenue, west London, will appear today at Feltham Magistrates’ Court, the Metropolitan Police said.
The crash, which occurred on Boston Manor Road, Brentford, west London, about 4pm on Monday, resulted in the death of a 68-year-old woman who was crossing the road with her seven-year-old granddaughter.
A post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as multiple injuries and f ormal identification is scheduled to take place today, police said.
The granddaughter escaped without injury.
Police said the car – a red Volkswagen Bora – did not stop at the scene.
It was last seen driving north on Boston Manor Road in the direction of the A4 and it was later found abandoned in a car park on Boston Manor Road.
Four men have been arrested in connection with the investigation.
Three have been bailed pending further inquiries until December 10.
