MORE than £1.5m. has been raised through the sale of the former Guernsey Water building on South Esplanade.
The utility moved out of 2 and 3, Jubilee Terrace – which was States-owned – earlier this year. After five months on the market the property was sold for slightly more than originally expected: £1,525,000.
Local company JT Holdings Ltd bought the site as a joint venture partnership but has not announced how the buildings will be used.
Director Oliver Goater said the property, which dates back to 1887, was a wonderful example of Victorian Guernsey architecture.
