Druce second
Monday 15th August 2011, 2:29PM BST.
TOM DRUCE finished second in the 400m in poor conditions at the Copenhagen Athletics Games in Denmark.
The Guernseyman came through in 46.88sec. behind Michael Mathieu of the Bahamas, who clocked 46.72.
Mathieu has some pedigree after running 45.17 at the Beijing Olympics and is included in the Bahamas team for the World Championships next month.
‘It’s difficult to make assumptions about what the time is worth in good weather but I’m confident it was the second best run of the season,’ said Druce.
