Dawes and Perrio out to retain their crowns
Friday 14th October 2011, 2:29PM BST.
A BUMPER field is expected at Delancey Park tomorrow for the opening FNB Cross Country League event.
Steve Dawes (pictured) will be looking to extend his impressive sequence of winter titles to nine and will start as favourite.
Other challengers for the title are likely to be All Terrain Challenge winner Ronan Shally, June half-marathon champion Colin Jeffreys and Island Games team gold medalist Mike Wilesmith.
Louise Perrio will start as favourite for the women’s title but the strength in depth of local female running will surely see Nikki Neal, Sarah Mercier, Martine Scholes, Nat Whitty and Kerry Robin among the leading positions.
