Alice learns harsh lesson

ALICE LOVERIDGE’S London Olympic hopes remain in the balance after a mixed couple of weeks at two key events, identified as being the determining factor as to whether she will move from the long list to the short list for Olympic selection in January.
Amid some bad luck, good results and a very harsh technical decision going against her, it added up to an eventful time for the Guernsey 17-year-old at the European Championship followed by the Swedish Open.
Outside of the World Championships, the Pro Tour is the highest level of table tennis and these events attract the world’s best professional players.
