SKY SPORTS’ visit to the island to film Guernsey FC at Footes Lane tomorrow afternoon is a massive bonus for the whole of local football.
That is according to the Green Lions’ chairman Steve Dewsnip, whose club will be featured on flagship programme Soccer Saturday next week after the build-up and action from the Feltham match is recorded.
Led by one of the programme’s expert pundits and GFC president Matt Le Tissier, the television crew will be travelling to Guernsey with the Feltham squad, recording both their air and coach travel to the game, as well as pre-match preparations.
They will then conduct interviews with various figures, including Dewsnip, GFC coach Tony Vance and visiting Combined Counties League vice-president Chris Conlon, who was acting president when the Lions were accepted into the league.
- The match against Feltham kicks off at 3pm at Footes Lane, with updates available on our Twitter feed @GuernseyPress. Details will also be available online after full-time at www.thisisguernsey.com/sport.
