THERE was a double success for the hosts at the weekend when Guernsey hosted the inter-insular matches for the Iles de la Manche Trophy and the junior Rose Bowl Trophy.
The final result of the men’s section saw Guernsey finish with 309 points against 231 for Jersey, while the final result of the female section resulted in a victory for Guernsey with 309 points against 231, by coincidence the same as the men’s score.
The overall results in the adult sections meant the women’s and men’s shields and the Iles de la Manche trophy remain in Guernsey for another year.
The junior section saw Guernsey determined to regain the trophy from holders Jersey and the final result saw Guernsey victorious, 111-105, therefore regaining the Rose Bowl.
