THE seventh round of the GKMC motocross championship took to the mud again on Saturday at Pleinmont.

The action started with the combined A group of MX1 and MX2 riders and Hamish Moriarty made a good start with the holeshot and taking first with two Jerseymen – Sam Allix and Brad Le Feuvre – behind him.

Back in the saddle was Jersey rider Harry Bertram after a nine-month absence and his first run out on the Guernsey course showed he had not lost any speed with a second and first.

A welcome return to the 2009 winner Luke Lesbirel also made for some great racing. He and Moriarty, both on the 125 machines, had a good battle but a missed gear left the door open for Moriarty.
