FOURTEEN-year-old Clementine Thompson has been selected for the RYA’s Laser 4.7 National Junior Squad 2011-12.

This is the fifth successive year in which the young Sarnian has been selected for regional and national squads by the RYA.

Selection was based on her performance at two events held at Herne Bay and Weymouth.

In addition the selectors have taken account of her performance at the Laser 4.7 Nationals earlier in the year, where she was first 14-year-old girl and third British girl overall. These were impressive results for a 14-year-old competing at her first under-18 Nationals event.
