Vance revels in a ‘perfect performance’

TONY VANCE described it ‘the perfect performance’ as the Green Lions, despite being severely depleted, thrashed in-form side Warlingham 5-1 away on Saturday.
The win kept Guernsey FC 11 points clear of the chasing pack and with two-thirds of the Lions’ away programme now completed surely there will be no catching Vance’s men, although Hartley Wintney, visitors to Footes Lane next Saturday, might have something to say about that.
With Ross Allen adding two more to his amazing tally and single strikes from Matt Loaring, Chris Mauger and Jason Winch, Guernsey FC overcame perhaps the most significant hurdle yet in the quest for the Combined Counties Division One title.
‘I thought they were first-class to a man,’ said Vance.
