NORTH coach Ross Cameron has admitted that the leg break to teenage midfielder River Marsh is ‘a massive blow’ for his title-chasing side.

The 17-year-old fractured his ankle and also damaged his ligaments after an early tackle in Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Rovers, leaving the junior island player out for a period of at least two to three months.

Despite this being his debut season at Priaulx level, Marsh has been arguably North’s key player in their surge to the top of the league, with Cameron acknowledging the severity of the setback.

‘You saw on Saturday that when he went off, we didn’t have a natural centre-midfielder left on the pitch,’ he said.
