THE added incentive of a potential match with the world number three will ensure jetlag is the last thing on Chris Simpson’s mind as he starts his Kuwait PSA Cup campaign today.

The 24-year-old Guernseyman is up against a familiar opponent – Campbell Grayson of New Zealand – in the first round of the prestigious $165,000 squash event, which features all the top players in the world.

‘He also bases himself in Harrogate, so we know each other’s games very well – it’ll be a real battle,’ said Simpson.

‘My aim is to get through that one so I have a pop at James Willstrop, the world number three.’
