HARTLEY WINTNEY have been boosted by a handful of new signings as they prepare for this afternoon’s crunch CCL Division One clash with Guernsey FC at Footes Lane.

The Row are unbeaten this league season, having six games in hand on the Green Lions after a stunning FA Cup run that took them to the third qualifying round, earning the club £4,500 in prize money.

They were also the first side this season to take points off the table-topping Lions, drawing 2-2 in GFC’s first competitive away game, although Hartley Wintney chairman Luke Mullen believes it could be a different matter this afternoon.

‘This is absolutely our toughest game of the season. Guernsey are the form team and the champions elect in everybody’s eyes,’ he said.
