THE top flight served up another cracker last night in what looks like being an intense tussle for the title.
But it is Le Mont Saint sitting pretty at this moment in time with two wins out of two after they defeated the champions in a nip-and-tuck encounter at Beau Sejour.
The widest the margin got between the teams before the final minute of the game was when LMS briefly opened a seven-point lead at 46-39 midway through the third quarter, but even then a Martin Yabsley-inspired Panthers scored the next nine points.
On the night, the big former professional was simply awesome and had no rivals as the outstanding player on show, but even his 28 points proved to be in a losing cause against a team whose ethic is deliberately not to have any stars.
