TARA LAINE shot into the local limelight with extreme precision in the summer.
To become a British champion in your sport is one thing, to do something only one person has achieved in the previous 60 years is quite another.
But that is exactly what air pistol shooter Laine achieved, becoming only the second woman in history to win the prestigious Gallie Cup, awarded for the 50-yard British championship.
Although the trophy now permanently resides at Bisley, the championship was held in Jersey in June, when the Channel Island Open Pistol Championship was also held.
