GUERNSEY FC took a massive step to the Combined Counties League Division One title on Saturday after a hard-fought 4-1 win at Worcester Park.
That was coupled with second-placed Bedfont Sports losing 1-0 at Feltham, a result that gives the Green Lions a seven-point cushion at the top of the table with 11 games remaining and a pile of home games to come for Tony Vance’s side.
Dave Rihoy, pictured, and Ross Allen both scored braces for GFC as they took a 4-0 lead, before Gary Knowelden scored a late consolation.
Afterwards, Rihoy was delighted to be back in the goals as his comeback from a long-term injury continues apace.
